In  Memoriam: Tony Geary

​​​​To say that Lucas Lorenzo Spencer was a ground breaking character, would be an understatement. True, he was ground breaking, but he was also larger than life, transcended art, transcended the soap opera genre , and transcended race. Translation: We all loved him. I mean, lets face it, there was no cooler white boy... no white boy with more swag ... than Lucas Lorenzo Spencer. Moreover, Luke could be strong. Luke could be vulnerable, and Luke could sho nuff be sexy ( 👀 ). So, long story short, we loved Luke for a whole mess a reasons, and loved Anthony Geary for bringing him to life. Suffice to say then, that when Anthony Geary passed earlier this week, sistas on both sides of town felt it. We felt it because, Tony Geary gave us Luke Spencer, put General Hospital on the map, raised the profile of the soap opera genre, and left us all eternally grateful that he came thru Port Charles, if just for a minute. Long story short? At the end of the day , and with Tony Gearys passing , it will never be the same, but neither will we.   And thats just on periodt
